Artist Bio:
Shalalae Jamil was born and raised in Pakistan. Educated at Bennington College and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she has exhibited and curated work in Pakistan, the United States and the U.K. Her work is in several private collections including the Arts Council in Pakistan and the Devi Art Foundation in India.
Her works lend voice to various ideological conflicts that shape contemporary life in South Asia and its Diaspora.
Currently the artist lives and works in Karachi.
